At the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, held from 23 to 26 September, Riva presented the largest yacht the brand has ever built: the Riva 54Metri. The new flagship is built entirely from aluminium and has a gross tonnage of 499 GT. It takes the signature features that made Riva an icon of the yachting world and translates them to a scale the brand had never explored before.

The hand of Officina Italiana Design

Like every Riva of the last thirty years, the 54Metri was designed by Officina Italiana Design. The firm was founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta and is the exclusive designer of the entire Riva range. On this project it worked with the Product Strategy Committee and the Engineering Department of Ferretti Group.

Balanced proportions, a sleek silhouette and purity of line define the yacht and together create a strong sense of harmony. Contemporary details and sculpted surfaces, enhanced by metallic finishes, give the profile depth and a three dimensional quality.

Figures and engineering

The Riva 54Metri is 54.83 metres long and has a maximum beam of 9.18 metres. A carefully chosen colour palette and polished steel details, both signature features of the Riva tradition, underline her expressive presence.

She is powered by two MTU 12V2000-M96L engines and reaches a top speed of 18 knots. The new superyacht embodies the engineering and design skills of the Riva Superyacht Division in Ancona and brings the appeal of the brand into the world of large yachts.

Terraces above the water

At the heart of the design is a constant connection with the water. Spacious panoramic areas and a natural continuity between inside and outside make it possible, while full height windows open up views of the horizon in several directions.

Numerous outdoor areas and fold-out bulwarks extend the beach area and the cockpit. In the words of Riva, they become terraces reaching out over the water. The idea suits the Mediterranean, where life on board happens mostly outdoors.

Interiors of teak, marble and leather

The same pursuit of harmony shapes the interiors. Fine materials and careful craftsmanship create an atmosphere that is sophisticated and welcoming at the same time. Natural teak, Sahara Noir marble from Tunisia, Bianco Rhino marble from Africa and leather details come together in an elegant composition that shows how Riva blends heritage with contemporary style.

In good company

The 54Metri was not alone in Monaco. Riva also showed the Riva 130' Bellissima, the tri-deck flagship built at the brand's La Spezia shipyard, the Riva 96' Argo Super and the Aquarama #747, restored by Riva Classiche. The line-up spanned the distance from a restored classic to the new flagship.

For anyone who looks for the Italian way of life on the water as well, the premiere shows what Italian design looks like there: clean lines, warm materials and spaces that open towards the sea.
