Villa Giulia is in Gargnano on the upper western shore of Lake Garda, on the stretch of coast known as the Riviera dei Limoni. The house is a Victorian-style villa whose Italian garden reaches right down to the water. The Bombardelli family has run it as a hotel since 1955; in 2024 Villa Giulia received the “Albergo Storico” distinction for its long tradition of hospitality and its care of the architectural and cultural heritage.
The rooms are spread across several buildings: classic rooms in the villa, rooms with their own terrace by the pool, suites in the garden house and rooms in a rustic stone tower next to the villa, where the workers of the olive and lemon gardens once lived. In the garden stands a historic limonaia, from which the path leads down to the small private beach. There are also a pool with a sun terrace, a spa and a restaurant, where you reserve a table.
The house suits couples and adults seeking peace by the water: Villa Giulia sees itself as an adult-friendly hotel, accepts children only on request when booking, and does not allow dogs. Gargnano is a good starting point for the high plateaus of Tignale and Tremosine, for trips on the scheduled boats and for excursions to the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera.
