Guided tour through the organic lemon gardens of the Aceto family above Amalfi, with tasting and a small museum.

The Aceto family has grown lemons on the Amalfi Coast for generations. By its own account, an ancestor bought a first plot of land in Ravello in 1825 and began growing and trading. Today Salvatore Aceto runs the business, which follows the guidelines of organic farming (certified by ICEA) and produces lemons bearing the protected geographical indication (PGI) Limone Costa d'Amalfi.
The classic lemon tour starts at the farm on Via delle Cartiere above the old town and lasts about an hour and a half according to the provider. It leads through the terraced gardens, shows cultivation and harvest, offers a break with lemon cake and fresh lemonade, and ends with a visit to the museum of rural culture and to the liqueur production, where you can taste and buy products. There are also combinations with a cooking class, an aperitif or a limoncello class.
If you want to understand how lemons grow on the steep terraces, this gives you a vivid insight. The paths have steep steps; according to the provider, the tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Without a reservation there is no admission, the farm has no parking, and pets are not allowed because of the free-roaming farm dogs.
